Comments:Hi,
I have a compact that visually at least looks a bit like your "Scenic & Figural Deco Nude Enamel Guilloche Compact"
the difference is that the enamal scene on the lid is some kind of insert maybe some kind of imitation? It is old though but has no marks that would indicate its maker.

Comments:Dear people,

at first I've to say sorry for my english. I live in Germany and leave school in 1978 - and it is a long time, to forget the most learnes words over such a long time ;-))
I've got a mesh bag from my mother and I like it very much. I didn't know anything about these bags, until I found your sides in the Web. After looking in your sides I ask my mother for more informations about the bag. She told me, that she get with a packet from Care after the war in 1947-48?? from relations in the USA. Also I've looked into the bag, wich was usede only at 1 or 2 times from my mother and I found the brand of Whiting & Davies inside.
I'm very proud, to have a bag like these on your sides. I think, I'll be a guest on your Websides in the future.
With best regards
Silke from Germany

Comments:Thanks for the items pictured,
Am relatively familiar with antiques in general, however, have a few questions. Approximate dates for the marks or the lack thereof on this azalea pattern. From the box of items purchased tonight, there are several on the back with the same pattern no., gold, green and red - red mentions the pattern name, and unmarked is the newest due to its inferior quality? Have many of your featured pieces, but some not. Bought the 50 some pieces for a reasonable sum, from a friend, grand mom died needed money. Want to know the age ofthe mark to determine reasonable pricing - to dealers 50% book. Notice that your dinner plate, luncheon, serving plates, teacup and saucer prices are if not, retail price old mark, over priced compared to other sites on E-bay, but totally within the margin of original produce wares. Am not totally clueless about these newer forms of collectibles, but don't wan't to give up the better, older marks, at yard sale prices either.
Great pictures on the web to see what I have purchased and many not pictured I have in this collectible. They all show the mini-salt and pepper/ mustard with tray, but have not seen the 4 -5 " s/p shackers in this lot i got.
New to this venue of porcelain and other small items to collect, was an oak furniture guy to the point had to auction out to make the place liveable.

Any info thanks,
nice presentation of sale items - newbie on here just got access.

Comments:I have a drop leaf table that will seat 8 people and a china cabinet that is made of solid hard rock maple that was purchased in late 1940's or 1950's. The inside has a circle with an eagle in black with Heywood-Wakefied Est.1826. These items were purchased in Memphis,Tenn. I was given to me by my Aunt. She and my Uncle never had any children so, it is in mint condition. Then did have a leaf that went in the middle but, it got burn in the attic. I would like to know if I could still buy a leaf? Do you know any antique dealers that could help me.
You have a very nice Antique Center,
Sharon

Comments:I am so happy to have found your website! I recently purchased my first Stratton compact, a steal at $20. I found it listed on your page valued at $135. Yours is mint, but does not contain the puff. Mine has the original directions still stuck on the beveled mirror and the original Stratton powder puff and screen. You had it tittled "Stratton Chintz Compact" in original box. Thanks so much! I will keep checking in as I collect more.
